Support Engineer

(f/m/d)

As a Support Engineer in our technical customer support team, you will work with well known clients in the US. These include publishers and corporate firms such as Condé Nast, The New York Times, McGraw Hill, and Analog Devices. Your role is versatile and will include DAM and publishing workflow systems, supported in both on-premise deployments and cloud-based architecture, including AWS and Azure. Since this is a work from home position, you won’t have a long commute to the office, but you’ll be backed up by an international team of experienced support staff and developers.

This is a hands-on technical role that requires both technical and interpersonal skills. We’re looking for someone who likes working with clients, solving problems, and is motivated to cultivating a satisfied customer base.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, upgrade, and maintain vjoon K4 & seven customer systems
  • Help desk support of vjoon customer systems
  • Troubleshoot K4 and seven issues

Your Minimum Qualifications:

  • Good understanding of client operating systems: macOS, Windows
  • Good understanding of server operating systems: Linux (preferably Debian), Windows Server
  • Good understanding of three-tiered architecture
  • Good understanding of both on-premise and cloud-based computing systems
  • Basic knowledge of Publishing & DAM systems
  • Basic knowledge of databases, such as MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle, Elasticsearch
  • Basic network knowledge (https, certificates)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of vjoon K4
  • In-depth knowledge of public cloud architecture, such as AWS and Azure
  • Knowledge of virtualization and container software: Kubernetes, Docker, Proxmox, Pacemaker, etc.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, especially InDesign & InCopy
